Held in my Raceview studio, every Cake Smash is custom designed just for your baby. I handcraft each set using real balloons, fairy lights, beautiful blooms, and carefully chosen props to create a magical birthday backdrop that's completely unique.
Rather than simply placing your baby in front of a pre-made setup, I spend time designing an entire scene that tells a story and creates the perfect setting for your little one’s milestone.

The best time to book is while your baby is around 8–10 months old, especially if you'd like your session before their first birthday or in time for birthday invitations and celebrations. Booking early also gives us plenty of time to plan your baby's theme, colours and styling, and helps secure your preferred date.

Yes! Every cake smash session includes a beautifully styled set, professionally decorated to match your chosen theme or colour palette. A cake is also included and can be made to suit dietary requirements such as dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan with advance notice.
From backdrops and props to the finishing touches, everything is carefully planned so all you need to bring is your little one in their outfit.

Parents provide the cake smash outfits, as every baby is a different size and families often have their own style preferences. Choosing your own outfit also means it can be as simple or as elaborate as you'd like.
I'm always happy to help you choose something that photographs beautifully with your selected theme. Rompers, dresses, bloomers, suspenders and simple neutral outfits all photograph wonderfully, and many families choose to bring a second outfit for family portraits before the cake smash begins.

Absolutely! Many families choose to include parents and siblings at the beginning of the session before it's time for the cake smash. It's a lovely opportunity to capture your baby's first birthday milestone as a family before all the messy fun begins.
If you'd like family photos included, just let me know when booking so we can plan your session accordingly.

Every baby is different, and that's completely okay. Some little ones dive straight into the cake, while others prefer to explore slowly, maybe with a finger or toe. Sometimes they need a little encouragement from mum and dad too.
I always work at your baby's pace, allowing plenty of time for cuddles, breaks and gentle encouragement without ever forcing them. Some of the most treasured images come from your baby's curious expressions, cheeky smiles and interactions with you, and not just the messy moments.

Within 5–7 business days, you'll receive a private online gallery where you can view and select your favourite images. Your gallery will remain available for 7 days to make your selections.
If you choose more images than are included in your prepaid collection, I'll simply send an invoice for the additional images. Once your selections are finalised and any outstanding balance has been paid, your photographs will be professionally edited and delivered within 5 weeks.
